Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 June 2026

Lumi is a reminder, not medical advice. Lumi helps you remember to take medications you and your clinician have already decided on. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or tell you whether, when, or how much medication to take. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, and talk to them before changing anything about your medications. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Lumi, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Lumi does — and what it does not

Lumi is a personal reminder tool. You are responsible for entering your medications, dosages, and schedules correctly, and for acting on your own judgment and your clinician's instructions.

3. Your data

Your medication data is stored on your device. Please see our Privacy Policy for the full details of how Lumi handles information.

4. Subscriptions (Lumi Pro)

Lumi's core features are free. Lumi Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription:

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period.

Prices are stated in U.S. dollars and may vary by region; the price shown in the App Store at purchase applies.

5. Apple's standard EULA

Your use of Lumi, including any subscription, is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and Apple's EULA differ, Apple's EULA governs your use obtained through the App Store.

6. Acceptable use

Please use Lumi only for its intended personal purpose, and do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Lumi is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that reminders will always be delivered, as delivery depends on your device and operating system.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumi and its makers are not liable for any missed doses, health outcomes, or other damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. You remain responsible for managing your own medications with your clinician.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Lumi after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
